How forest fire is controlled by firefighters?

Firefighters are people whose job used to fight fires, but they also respond to medical emergencies, and other life-risking incidents. They provide service to wide variety of calls like flooding, traffic accidents, chemical spills, forest fires and water rescue.

The weather, topography and fuels are the three sides of the fire behavior triangle. Larger fires require more people and equipment, such as engines, pumps, bulldozers, helicopters and air tankers dropping water or retardant.

 

All fires are managed using the Incident Command System Management positions are added and taken away depending on the fire situation. There are various steps taken by the firefighters to control forest fire.
